I just learned of this series and absolutely LOVE it. Your podcast has helped me learn and understand DW far more than the videos I've seen. Thank you.

I hope you continue the series. I have currently invested in Allied and Axis units, and am debating over the SSU... Do you have any plans to consider an SSU overview and rules update from the Zverograd rule book?

Thank you again.

Agreed, Steamforged has been a bit desolated of late (ravaged by Spambots), so I decided to comment here...

As far as I know, they're currently 'rewriting' the code of the site offline and busy with preparations to 'broadcast' content/coverage of Smogcon, so I'm hoping the site gets back into gears by then (but I don't remember when that will take place - November I think).

Admittedly I'm a bit annoyed by that (have 2 articles waiting in the mailbox more than a month...:P), but like most podcasts and blogs, it is a free initiative and I can't really fault Lox and co, if life got in the way...

We'll have to wait and see:)

Glad to see that you enjoyed the episode Baffo! I see where your coming from with regards to the uses of shatterstorm. What I meant by objectives is not specifically an "objective", what I should have said was steamroller missions. Clearing out an entire zone with the feat and then holding it against the counter attack.

Anyways I am glad you have made your way over to the podcast! For some reason steamforged is running low on steam at this moment in time. Do you know what loxam and co are up to these days?

As usual a few comments:
1. Ossian's feat doesn't work on scenario objectives, because they are considered as 'friendly models' to both armies on the table. It does work remarkably well with Mage hunter strike force and Skyfall archers shooting any enemy colossal with pow 10-12 + 4D6 damage rolls (some of which ignore armor buffs like Arcane shield).
2. Shatterstorm's main utility is its Remove from play effect! Keep in mind that the RFP and AoE trigger only on models directly hit (so models dying from blast damage aren't removed from play and don't generate additional 3'' AoEs). It is crucial against casters like Gaspy2 (RFPed models can't come back with his feat), Constance Blaze (she doesn't get souls from RFPed models) and hordes in general (can't leech fury from an RFPed beast)...

Hypnos will be taken pretty much exclusively with Ossian, due to the affinity and because Ossian is a very good counter to the emerging Colossal meta and will probably be in one of your list at most SR 2-3 list events.

Anyway, keep up the good work and Cheers:)

I just want to say thank you Doug for the insightful comment! I love doing the podcast and I will keep doing it for as long as I am able to. The tabletop industry is full of interesting stories and news that people should discuss on a regular basis. For instance Next week I will be listing off a group of games that might just fill the warhammer 40k gap!

Until then however, I am glad you enjoyed it! The wargaming community is why I keep broadcasting so make sure to get the word out :).

Thanks again for your support!

Sincerely,
Adam "IceTea" Tremblay
